Using Topological Information of Images to Improve Stereo Matching
Abstract
A method for stereo matching using topological information of stereo images is described. Two topics are discussed: topological information of images and their computation, and a new cost function of the multidimensional dynamic programming (DP) in the matching process. Both low-level features and the topological information of images are incorporated in the DP function. The results with real images show that the topological information as global restriction for matching improves the reliability of the matching processing.
