A Real-Time Edge Linker
Abstract
Line drawings of 3D environments are often sufficient for scene interpretation. The VLSI implementation of an algorithm for extracting edge information from grey level images is presented. It yields one pixel wide connected edge point strings and is applicable in real-time.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
