Research Debt
Abstract
Distill articles are interactive publications and do not include traditional abstracts. This summary was written for the ML Anthology. Introduces the concept of research debt—the accumulated cost of poor explanations and unclear communication in scientific research—and argues that research distillation should be valued as a legitimate scholarly contribution.
