Zoom in: An Introduction to Circuits

Abstract

Distill articles are interactive publications and do not include traditional abstracts. This summary was written for the ML Anthology. Proposes three claims as the foundation of the circuits research agenda: that neural networks contain meaningful features, that these features are connected by interpretable circuits, and that similar features and circuits appear across different models (universality).
