Constructing Hidden Variables in Bayesian Networks via Conceptual Clustering
Abstract
This paper describes a learning algorithm for constructing Bayesian networks. A major feature of this approach is the use of conceptual clustering to construct hidden variables in the network. These ideas have been implemented in a system called Tantra.
