A Case Study in Structured Knowledge Acquisition

Abstract

Building an expert system usually comprises an entangled mixture of knowledge acquisition and Implementation efforts. An emerging methodology based on cognitive psychology and software development guides and supports knowledge acquisition while Implementation is deferred. This allows for a more deliberate choice of architecture. This paper presents a case stud/to test the methodology.
